If sometime around 2003 you breathed a sigh of relief at the notion that you would never have to listen to the WWF wrestling aficionado and former Atlanta Brave John Rocker, well you just thought wrong.

In an interview on Monday that sounds like I wrote it, the former star of Pros vs. Joes star claims he flunked a drug test ordered by Major League Baseball in 2000, though baseball did not punish the pitcher for the result.
On Atlanta Radio Station 100.5 former Atlanta reliever and current asshat John Rocker stated “Bud Selig knew in the year 2000 John Rocker was taking the juice,” the pitcher said Monday on the Atlanta radio station. “Didn’t do anything about it.” Adding further “I am a pompous douchebag that talks in the third person.” Before quipping, “Bud Selig is a clown and should do the entire world a favor and kill himself.”
Since baseball did not have a drug testing agreement between management and the Players union until September 2002 and did not have penalties until 2004, Why baseball would even ask Rocker to take a drug test in order to do nothing about it remains a mystery. The reason that Rocker would inject himself into this current story should be plainly apparent.
I love the smell of desperation in February, it smells like…moron.
John Rocker is kind of like a poor man’s Mike Tyson. The main difference being that while Tyson is psychotic crazy where as Rocker is just annoying crazy.
I would have written more about this but I couldn’t find a complete transcript and I wouldn’t possibly paraphrase the eloquent articulation of the English language with the same brilliance as John Rocker. Also, I really don’t care.
So we have Roger Clemens, now John Rocker in the mix. The Met Fan detestation trifecta now clearly in play. Larry “Chipper” Jones to go public in 5, 4, 3, 2….

Rickey is shocked and disappointed by this news. This is truly a sad day for “kids with purple hair,” “queers with AIDS,” “dudes who just got out of jail” and “20-year-old mothers with four kids” everywhere.

If nothing else it’s entertaining…Much like the “speak english” shirt campaign he embarked on with female bodybuilders.
