Local fan 2011 predictions for sports in Buffalo, New York (Associated Content)

2010 saw a first round playoff exit by the Buffalo Sabres, a woeful at best season from the Buffalo Bills, an improved Buffalo Bisons baseball team, and the introduction of girls' high school hockey in Western New York. Where will these teams and leagues go in 2011? Here are my predictions for Buffalo sports going into the new year. New owner for the Sabres - this has actually been reported to be in the works, so it's not as much of a prediction, but more of a "when will it happen?" question from fans.

Royals trade Greinke, watch another star leave (AP)

Goodbye, Johnny Damon. So long, Carlos Beltran. See ya later, Jermaine Dye. And now, adios, Zack Greinke. Greinke, the 2009 AL Cy Young Award winner, became the latest in a long line of All-Stars to leave the Kansas City Royals in the prime of their careers when he was traded Sunday to Milwaukee. For some, it's been about money.

Pedro Feliciano is moving across town from the New York Mets to the Yankees. The durable left-hander reached a preliminary agreement on an $8 million, two-year contract, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press on Friday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract, which includes a $4.5 million club option for 2013, is subject to Feliciano passing a physical.
