Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter was diagnosed Tuesday with a malignant brain tumor called a glioblastoma and will treat it with chemotherapy and radiation. Doctors at The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University say the location of the tumor makes it difficult to remove through an operation.
