When the San Francisco Giants traded away Ramon Ramirez and Andres Torres to the New York Mets in exchange for Angel Pagan, I will admit that I was a bit amiss about the whole situation. We took a player in Torres, who we weren't going to tender a contract to, and packaged him with one of our better relievers in Ramirez and traded them for Pagan - a player very similar to Torres in my mind. It simply didn't make sense to me at the time. I felt as if both Torres and Pagan had had their career years in 2010 and wouldn't be very useful from then on.
