NEW YORK (AP) Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo has been penalized by Major League Baseball following his remarks about Philadelphia pitcher Cole Hamels.

Arizona: CF Chris Young (shoulder ligament) took 50 swings in the batting cage and threw 120 feet, working out with teammates at Chase Field for the first time since April 26. "A few days ago, I didn't know I'd be able to do all that," he said. "But you get around teammates and your coaches, it motivates you in the right way. After having a quiet offseason for the most part, GM Frank Wren made some questionable moves over the past couple of weeks, bringing in both pitching (Livan Hernandez, Chad Durbin) and hitting (Juan Francisco) to hopefully shore up the team heading into opening day. If the April 9 game against the Houston Astros was any indication, perhaps Wren should have kept it quiet.
