Wright hits grand slam, Pelfrey sharp for Mets (AP)
David Wright is just about ready for the season. The Mets third baseman hit a grand slam and Mike Pelfrey had his best outing of the spring and as New York beat the Houston Astros 9-1 on Thursday night. Wright, who missed all but three games this spring while recovering from a torn rib cage muscle, drove a 3-2, two-out pitch from Livan Hernandez over the left-field wall.

Mike Pelfrey made a change in his mechanics, and he's hoping the results will follow. Pelfrey allowed eight hits and five runs -- the fourth consecutive spring start in which he's given up at least four runs -- and the New York Mets tied the St. Louis Cardinals 6-6 in 10 innings Saturday. Pelfrey's ERA in four Grapefruit League games is 11.49.

Mets agree with Pelfrey, 3 others (AP)
The Mets have settled all four of their potential salary arbitration cases, agreeing to one-year contracts with pitchers Mike Pelfrey, Ramon Ramirez and Manny Acosta, and outfielder Andres Torres.
